As The Embroidery Shoppe enters its 22nd Year in business I stop to remember a poem that was given to me by a city clerk when we were registering our name.
I have no idea who the author is/was but over the years having gone through the many economic cycles it was very helpful to read and also share with those who I felt needed a lift.
“When things go wrong, as they sometimes will; When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill; When the funds are low and the debts are high; And you want to smile but you have to sigh. When all is pressing you down a bit. Rest if you must, but don’t you QUIT. Success is failure turned inside out; But silver tint on the clouds of doubt; And you can never tell how close you are; It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit. It’s when things go wrong you must “NOT QUIT”
